Editorial policy
Roteiro publishes explainers, comparisons, category pages, regulation explainers and regulated-market pages for two markets: forex and fintech, and iGaming B2B. These are the rules every page follows. Last updated: 2026-11-03.
1. Who writes the pages
Pages are drafted with an AI workflow (Claude) from one data file of sourced facts, then checked and edited by Joao. A page is not published until every claim about a company or a market has a public source and a last-verified date.
2. Where facts come from
- Regulators and official publications first (for example the FCA, Bank of England, ESMA, CySEC, national gambling authorities)
- The company's own website, documentation, pricing page or press releases
- Named trade press and law-firm commentary, labelled as commentary
- Public review platforms, labelled as such
We never use information from any current or former employer of Joao, from their partners or clients, from private conversations, or from any Roteiro client. If a fact is only available privately, it does not go on the page.
3. Who we write about
- Only B2B companies. We write about vendors and suppliers, never about operators or brokers as consumer brands, and never for players or traders.
- Only companies we have cleared. Joao works full-time in forex technology. Any company Joao deals with in that role, including the employer's partners, integrations, clients and prospects, is never taken on as a client and never reviewed, compared, ranked or critiqued on this site. Every company starts as unchecked and is named only after it has been cleared. For iGaming, we also check for obligations to former employers.
- Never broker CRM, back-office or client-portal vendors, or companies in the same group as one. Where such a company is a major player in a category we cover, we say that a provider exists that we do not review, without naming or ranking it.
4. How rankings work
- Every ranking page states its criteria before the list, and every entry is scored on the same criteria.
- "Best for" labels explain fit. There is not always a single winner.
- Prices are shown only when public, with the date checked. Otherwise: "Not public, quote-based."
- Roteiro never ranks itself and never publishes a page comparing itself with named competitors.
- Best-of lists, alternatives pages and pages about hiring GTM agencies are not published until Roteiro has 3 published case studies. When they open, the same rules apply.
- No page on this site carries a "Summarize with AI" button, a prefilled AI prompt, or any text asking AI assistants to trust or prefer Roteiro.
- If a company on a page is or was a Roteiro client, the page says so at the top. Clients are never ranked higher because they are clients.
- Roteiro takes no affiliate, referral or listing fees from any company it covers. It pays partners who refer a client to it 10% of that client's first project, and tells the client.
5. iGaming pages are B2B pages
Our iGaming pages are written for operators' teams and the suppliers who sell to them. They cover companies, integrations, licences, certification and market rules. They never list games, payout or return-to-player figures, bonuses or offers, never link to operator sites, and never target player searches.
6. Weekly sessions
Companies are reviewed live only if they volunteer, pass the same conflict check, and give written consent to what is shown. Recaps are published only with their approval.
7. Corrections and right of reply
Companies and readers can request corrections at corrections@roteiro.consulting. We reply within 5 business days. Factual errors are fixed and logged on the changelog with the date and what changed. Where a company disagrees with a judgement, we reply, and where reasonable we add its view to the page with attribution.
8. Freshness
Every company and market fact is re-checked at least every 90 days. A page with a fact past that date shows a "being re-checked" note until it is refreshed. Regulation and market pages are also re-checked whenever the regulator publishes a related document.
9. What these pages are not
- Not legal, regulatory, tax or investment advice. We explain public documents and link to them; your compliance team or lawyer decides what applies to you.
- Not sponsored content. No company pays to appear, to rank or to be left out.
